Double Sided Printing on G2 Pens

Gel2Pens is now offering a TWO SIDED/TWO COLOR IMPRINT imprint on Pilot G2-3, G2-5, G2-1 and America's #1 selling gel pen — the Pilot G2-7.

The additional cost for a TWO SIDED/TWO COLOR imprint is only $50 for any quantity.

Your two sided custom imprint will be printed on a state-of-the-art UV printer at the Pilot printing facility in Jacksonville FL. It is important to note that the UV printing process will limit the size of your imprint to 2" wide by 1/4" high on each side of the pens. The image below illustrates the size difference for the imprint size of Screen Printing versus UV printing.

The images below are NOT to scale and are enlarged to better portray the difference in imprint area.

Due to the reduced height of the imprint area for the 2 sided/ 2 color imprint, we recommend that you limit your imprint to 2 lines of text or a logo with 1 line of text (such as a web site address and/or phone number). As always, we will try and accommodate all artwork and text that you request on your imprint, and will send a proof for your approval before your pens are sent into production.

Adobe Illustrator (vector) files must be submitted with order (GIF, JPEG, BMP and PNG files are unacceptable). Any artwork requiring minor adjustment and/or color trapping will be processed at an additional charge. If artwork charge is required written approval will be requested prior to production.

The Magic of Pilot FriXion Erasable Pens

Long years of development went into the patented thermosensitive Metamo ink that gives the Pilot Frixion line its main selling point. One of the most difficult tasks was to increase the temperature range for when the color appeared and disappeared.

Microcapsules that form the pigmentation contain an equal mix of three substances:

1) special types of dye that change between colored and colorless forms

2) color developer

3) compounds that regulate the temperature at which the color transition will take place

When you rub the ink with the hard rubber eraser, heat from the resulting friction causes the temperature-sensing compound to activate the acid compounds, thus neutralizing the dye.

That’s what makes the ink virtually disappear!

Because of its heat-reacting properties, the ink may reappear when temperatures reach below -10° C (under 14° Fahrenheit).

It’s best to not leave the ink out in hot cars or other conditions that may subject it to vigorous friction, or it may disappear. If your writing should disappear due to heat exposure, simply place into a freezer for a short time and the writing will reappear.
